والتقى بارزاني بحاكم إمارة الشارقة، في مقر الجامعة الأميريكة في الإمارة، وبحث معه عدة قضايا ذات اهتمام مشترك وفي مقدمتها التجارة والاستثمار.
ووفقا لبيان صادر عن رئاسة حكومة إقليم كردستان، وصل مسرور بارزاني الى الدولة الخليجية، أول أمس الجمعة على رأس وفد رفيع المستوى للمشاركة في مؤتمر الطاقة العالمي المقام هناك.
وسيشارك مسرور بارزاني بكلمة، كأحد المتحدثين في المؤتمر الدولي.
وسيعقد المؤتمر خلال يومين من 28 ولغاية 29 مارس في إمارة دبي الإماراتية.
ويرتبط إقليم كوردستان مع دولة الإمارات العربية بعلاقات اقتصادية قوية، ويصل حجم التبادل التجاري بين الجانبين الى 2.5 مليون دولار سنوياً.
وتوجد نحو 136 شركة إماراتية في إقليم كردستان.
وكان مسرور بارزاني قد اجتمع مع حاكم امارة رأس الخيمة، امس السبت، ومن المنتظر ان يجتمع مع مسؤولين آخرين على خلفية مشاركته في مؤتمر الطاقة العالمي.
