أدان الرئيس التركي، رجب طيب أردوغان، الأربعاء، «الاغتيال الغادر» لزعيم حركة «حماس» إسماعيل هنية في طهران.
وكتب أردوغان، على منصة «اكس»: «رحم الله أخي إسماعيل هنية، الذي استُشهد على أثر هذا الهجوم الشنيع»، مندّداً بما وصفه بأنه «همجية صهيونية».
وأضاف أردوغان: «إن هذا العمل المُشين يهدف إلى تخريب القضية الفلسطينية ومقاومة غزة المجيدة وكفاح إخواننا الفلسطينيين العادل وترهيب الفلسطينيين».

وندَّدت وزارة الخارجية التركية، في وقت سابق، بالهجوم، ووصفته بأنه «اغتيال دنيء».
كان هنية يتردد باستمرار على تركيا قبل 7 أكتوبر (تشرين الأول) الماضي، كما استقبله الرئيس إردوغان خلال أبريل (نيسان) الماضي، في إسطنبول.
وفي حين تَعدّ الولايات المتحدة والاتحاد الأوروبي وإسرائيل «حماس» منظمة إرهابية، يراها إردوغان «حركة تحرير»، وفقاً لما ذكرته «وكالة الصحافة الفرنسية».
ومنذ عام 2011، وبعد التوصل إلى اتفاق شهد إطلاق سراح أكثر من ألف معتقل فلسطيني، في مقابل الجندي الإسرائيلي، جلعاد شاليط، وفرت تركيا ملاذاً لمسؤولي «حماس».
