أكدت تقارير صحفية تعرض القاعدة الأمريكية في مطار “خراب الجير” بريف الحسكة شمال شرقي سوريا، لهجوم صاروخي.
وبحسب وسائل إعلام فإن القاعدة الواقعة في مطار “خراب الجير” ببلدة اليعربية، تعرضت لهجوم وسط غياب أنباء عما إذا كان الهجوم أسفر عن خسائر بشرية.
رسالة بايدن
يأتي ذلك فيما أبلغ الرئيس الأمريكي جو بايدن، الكونغرس أن إدارته ردت على الهجمات المتزايدة مؤخراً على القواعد الأمريكية بالعراق وسوريا “في إطار القانون الدولي”، وأنها مستعدة لاتخاذ مزيد من الخطوات عند الضرورة.
جاء ذلك في رسالة بعث بها بايدن إلى زعماء مجلسي النواب والشيوخ في الكونغرس الأمريكي.
وأشار الرئيس الأمريكي إلى تزايد الهجمات التي تشنها الجماعات المرتبطة بإيران على القواعد الأمريكية بالعراق وسوريا في الآونة الأخيرة.
وقال: “ردت الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية على هذه الهجمات وفقاً للقانون الدولي ومن خلال ممارسة حقها في الدفاع عن النفس المنصوص عليه في المادة 51 من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة”.
وأضاف: “الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية مستعدة لاتخاذ مزيد من الخطوات للرد على التهديدات والهجمات عندما يكون ذلك ضرورياً ومناسباً”.
وشهدت سوريا مؤخراً هجمات على قواعد ينتشر فيها الجيش الأمريكي في شمال وشمال شرقي سوريا، منها منطقة التنف وناحية المالكية الحدوديتان مع العراق، وفي محافظة الحسكة ومنطقة الشدادي، بطائرات مسيرة مسلحة مجهولة الهوية وبأسلحة أرض-أرض.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن الجماعات المدعومة من إيران تشن هجمات صاروخية وعبر مسيرات مسلحة على القواعد الأمريكية شرقي نهر الفرات.
