قتلت 70 مدنياً .. واشنطن تتبرأ من غارة الباغوز: لا تنتهك قانون الحرب

اعتبرت الولايات المتحدة، اليوم الأربعاء، أن الغارة الجوية التي نفذتها على بلدة الباغوز شمال شرقي سوريا، عام 2019، وتسببت بمقتل عشرات المدنيين، “ليست انتهاكاً لقانون الحروب”.
يأتي هذا بعد أن انتهى تحقيق أشرف عليه قائد القوات البرية الأمريكية، الجنرال مايكل جاريت، حول الخسائر في صفوف المدنيين، جراء القصف الجوي الذي نفذته الولايات المتحدة، بذريعة دعم قوات سوريا الديمقراطية .
وزعم جاريت في التقرير أن الهجوم تم تنفيذه “بما يتماشى مع قواعد الاشتباك”، وأنه لم يتم التوصل إلى وجود انتهاك لقانون الحروب.
ورداً على أسئلة الصحفيين حول عدم معاقبة المسؤولين عن الهجوم الذي أودى بحياة أكثر من 80 شخصاً، قال متحدث البنتاغون جون كيربي: “على الأقل نخرج أمامكم هنا ونتحدث عن الخسائر في صفوف المدنيين، لا يمكنكم سماع ذلك من وزارة الدفاع الروسية”.
كما أضاف المسؤول الأمريكي أنهم لا يسعون لشرعنة شيء عبر المقارنة مع روسيا، وذلك رداً على سؤال من مراسل الأناضول، حول جدوى الحديث عن خسائر المدنيين دون محاسبة المسؤولين، وفيما إذا كانت المقارنة مع ما ترتكبه روسيا في أوكرانيا محاولة لشرعنة مقتل عشرات المدنيين بينهم نساء وأطفال على يد الولايات المتحدة.
وجدد كيربي الإشارة إلى أن التقرير خلص إلى “عدم وجود انتهاك لقانون الحروب، وأنه ما من داع لتحميل مسؤولية ما حدث على شخص ما بصورة فردية”، كما لفت إلى أنهم حزينون على الضحايا، وأنهم قدموا اعتذاراً بهذا الخصوص.

وكانت صحيفة “نيويورك تايمز” ذكرت، في تقرير، أن القوات الجوية الأمريكية نفذت غارة يوم 18 مارس 2019 على مخيم يضم عوائل مقاتلي تنظيم داعش في منطقة “الباغوز” بمحافظة دير الزور، أدت إلى مصرع قرابة 70 مدنياً، بينهم نساء وأطفال.
